I will openly admit, I didn't read the whole thing. I usually do, but this particular topic has been discussed to death.
My favorite setup is if you have two or more characters at max level, you can start a class at the same level as a hero class.

I'm sick of this "you need to learn your character" logic. I can figure out spells and abilities within a day. I don't want to be forced through the mindless levelling grind just to appease you people. Adding time to the process doesn't make it idiot-proof.

Actually, 10% more exp from killing mobs doesn't equal even close to 10% faster leveling in normal circumstances. It only holds true if you grind or farm instances. But because doing quests is usually the fastest way to level, I would say heirloom items may get the job done about 5% faster. Take a second look. Those heirloom shoulders were changed a while ago to also provide their +10% xp gain to quest xp as well as mob xp.

agreed.
Mindlessly leveling my druid right now ... heck Most classes rely on their 51'st talent, starting at level 1 teaches nothing about how to play the toon at 80.
You can level 1-80 and be terrible. You can also buy level 80 account (which I wouldn't do my self, since I wouldn't want to be banned) and figure the toon out from nuts to bolts in a day (maybe a week for me).
The only point to level from 1 to 80 is to get attached to the toon - since you invested so much time leveling it. This attachment is what Blizzard is after, but I don't understand players wanting to level from 1 to 80 ... those poor unmaintained areas, terrible gear, all the things which were fixed in bc and wotlk ... no we have to suffer through it again and again.

I for one enjoy leveling and dont mind rerolling from level 1, if they introduced the option to allow players to create alts at a higher level then so beit.
The one change I would love to see is the option to exchange heirloom items for other equivalent ones. For example lets say I have a full set of heirloom items for leveling a paladin/warrior, once that toon reaches 80, I've no more need for those items unless I roll another paladin/warrior. It would be nice if I could exchange them for say the mage equivalent items, rather than spend another 100+ badges on new gear.

The problem is that most (if not all) classes start out with at most 3 abilities, and sometimes those aren't even abilities you'll use at level cap. They all get either better abilities to replace the starters, or completely new abilities that change how the class functions entirely.
What they need to do is not change the level you start out at, but change the beginning levels so they act more like the end levels. It doesn't do anyone any good to learn their class if what they learn at 10 is completely different at 20, and what they learn at 40 is "now forget everything you learned 1-39 and do this instead".

YES! Level 20 wouldn't be too gamebreaking and I would totally love the ability to level a Priest past level 11.
