The Harvest Festival is a small celebration to honor the fallen heroes of the Horde and Alliance. In Classic WoW, this holiday rewards some free food/water as well as good quest experience.
Honoring a Hero
There is only one short quest chain available during the Harvest Festival, with both Horde and Alliance versions, and you pick it right up where the festival is taking place. For this quest, you are sent to show respect to one of your faction's most honored heroes--Grom Hellscream for members of the Horde and Uther Lightbringer for members of the Alliance.
These quests are available at
level 30
and grant
6600 XP
--a nice chunk of experience while leveling. In addition to the stated rewards, you will receive a
Recompensa de la Cosecha
in the mail a few days after completing this quest. Note that this item will conjure
food
, not food and water, so it will not restore mana.
En honor a un héroe
Start & End:
Javnir Nashak
For this quest, Horde players are given
Tributo a Grom
and sent to Grom's Monument in the Demon Fall Canyon of
Ashenvale
(83, 79) to offer gifts in tribute to the memory of Grom Hellscream. Upon returning the quest, players will receive
El grito del infierno de la Horda
, a book with a written tribute to the fallen hero.
En honor a un héroe
Start & End:
Wagner Hammerstrike
For this quest, Alliance players are given
Tributo de Uther
and sent to Uther's Tomb in
Western Plaguelands
to offer gifts in tribute to the memory of Uther Lightbringer. Upon returning the quest, players will receive
¡Por la Luz!
, a book with a written tribute to the fallen hero.
This is a bit of a long run for low-level Alliance players; just keep running north from Southshore. It's also dangerous for low-level players, as you will pass by level 50 mobs. While you're there, make sure to get the nearby flightpath to Chillwind Camp in Western Plaguelands.
Free Festival Food
Festive tables full with food can be found outside of Orgrimmar and Ironforge, from which players can have their fill of food and drink as they celebrate the memory of their faction's fallen champions. You can hold up to 20 of each of these foods, and they do not expire.
Pan de la cosecha
Pez de la cosecha
Jabalí de la cosecha
Néctar de la cosecha
The food is free and restores 2% of your health or mana, but it is not as good as some other food you can get at your level.
Festival Fireworks
In addition to offering the only quest,
Javnir Nashak
and
Wagner Hammerstrike
also sell a small selection of fireworks:
Fuego artificial azul
-
Fuego artificial verde
-
Fuego artificial rojo
-
Fuego artificial de rayos rojos
-
Fuego artificial amarillo y rosa
-
These fireworks do not have any duration, so you can stock up and bring festivity wherever you go. They are also unique graphics, so they're great for kill shots when you down your favorite bosses.
How Long Does the Festival Run?
There is no calendar in Classic WoW, so we are not sure when the festival ends--just that it's active right now. In Battle for Azeroth, the festival starts tomorrow and lasts for one week. Based on this
archival link
it lasted a week in vanilla WoW.
