Fan Continues Nightborne Character Customization Demonstration
05/08/2021 a las 15:24
Back in January
we cast a spotlight
on a fan who has embarked on a project using Blizzard assets to demonstrate what could be done with character customizations should Blizzard choose to expand their customization offerings. Shalashaska has posted a quick
update on Reddit
further demonstrating their vision of customizations for the Nightbourne who currently lack much variety in their options. When last we checked in, Shalashaska was using current other racial assets on the Nightbourne model. This time they have figured out how to incorporate NPC assets to create some insanely cool new looks for Mr. Nightbourne. Check this out, but keep in mind that this is an ongoing project and therefore a WiP:
Just showing off what I've managed to do the last couple of days. Few more things that need fixing, clipping stuff here and there but so far I'm glad I've managed to figure out how to add the NPC's effects on the Nightborne male model.
Assets belong to Blizzard, including the modified assets featured in this video. All of my support goes to the employees who had to deal with the toxic and abusive environment at Blizzard. Wish you all the best, I hope this company gets better and I hope that all of the people who wishes to stay at Blizzard because it is their dream job find back the faith they once had in this company.
If Blizzard is looking for new ideas, this fan may be just the person for them to sit down with.
I used the sculpting tool on Blender to edit a dupe of the original face shape and tweaked it. If I recall well Blizzard said the animations would be an issue in regards to this but I didn't have any issue with them.
