07/10/2020 a las 10:33
Blizzard artist Glenn Rane has shared unused Blizzard art of Fire Mage Jaina. Originally created for Hearthstone as alternate hero art for Jaina, Blizzard instead went in a different direction for the final look. Two years after the creation of this artwork, Rane was finally allowed to share this piece to the public.
After two years, I'm finally able to post this one... Fire Mage Jaina created for Hearthstone. This one was meant to be the alternate hero artwork, but ended up not being used. This is an oil painting with some digital polish. Prints available at glennrane.com

Hearthstone frequently plays with the WoW lore, offering light-hearted alternate takes that remix familiar elements from retail WoW. The art of Fire Mage Jaina touches upon her character arc in Battle for Azeroth, as we see the city of Boralus behind her and she wears her Daughter of the Sea regalia. However, in retail WoW, Jaina is known for her signature Frost abilities, like the water elemental, instead of fire. Her signature blue and gold color scheme has also been altered, with black and red accents on her BFA armor as well as her hair.
Fire Mage Jaina is awarded upon winning 1,000 Ranked or Arena games as a Mage, and you can see the official art by James Ryman below, which keeps Jaina's BFA look but tones down some of the darker elements:
We also received an alternate Sylvanas hero in Hearthstone last year, which clearly referenced Teldrassil.
And for yet another take on Jaina, Blizzard released Scholar Mage Jaina in September 2020, drawing upon her original look, for that WoW Classic nostalgia!
