Naladu from Hellfire Peninsula Found in the Shadowlands
05/02/2021 a las 15:45
Another familiar face has been found in the Shadowlands! The spirit of Naladu from Hellfire Peninsula can be found in the Venthyr Ember Court during the Lunar Festival.
can be found by Venthyr players who have unlocked the
Ember Court feature
. Unlike the peaceful Elders of Azeroth, Elder Naladu is surrounded by a hellish red light to reflect his past sins and current atonement. Speaking to Naladu awards
Sobre rojo de sacrificio
Piedra lunar de sacrificio de anciano
inside, which grants a 500% damage increase for a minute when standing inside the targeted area. This item only works inside the Ember Court and disappears if you leave the event.
expresses regret for his past actions in life when you interact with him:
was first seen as a Broken Elder residing by the Ruins of Sha'naar in Hellfire Peninsula. In the quest series
, we help him free the remaining members of his tribe from the Illidari demons. However, the story takes a darker turn as it's revealed that
was the traitor who betrayed his tribe to the Illidari in return for a promise of power.
While it's a short side-quest from TBC's first leveling zone, many players remember it over a decade later for the nuance in Naladu's character. Did he want to do the right thing, or was he simply bitter the Illidari lied to him?
Anywhere you see a tribe of enslaved Broken you will also find a traitor. A despicable being who sold his brothers for promises of power.
It is true, <name>. I was once Naladu the Keeper of Earth.
It was I who betrayed the other Dreghood elders in exchange for empty promises of power. You can despise me now if you wish to. What matters is that my tribe is free once again and that the spirits have returned to us.
I will not be joining the rest of the tribe, but I can die in peace now. May the spirit of earth find a new servant among my brothers.
With his tribe freed, Naladu does not wish for forgiveness or acceptance among his people. He simply awaits death, knowing he's righted some of the wrongs of the past but understands the severity of his betrayal. It appears that Naladu now undergoes the Venthyr's process of atonement in the afterlife--his final actions to save his tribe may have given him a second chance in Revendreth instead of being sent directly to the Maw.
