I can only imagine my dyslexic little sister having to do this every time she wanted to play a game ^.^I don't mind active and strong encouragement of people having them (and giving them out free with cataclysm is a great idea), I'm just not sure about requiring every account to have one.
I hope to gosh they make authenticators mandatory, my account recently got hacked then banned, and I sincerely hope nobody else has to go through that.
This is something they SHOULD have done already with the release of LK which would have saved me a good 20,000 in gold and mats (was hacked shortly after the launch). However, assuming Blizzard isn't being a greedy SoB, then Cataclysm would be the oppurtune time to include the authenticators for new and returning players. I wouldn't make it manadatory for existing players, but new accounts would require it.Then again, imo, Cataclysm should become the core component of the game, rendering a seat of Vanilla obsolete. With Cataclysm a player can level to 85 by questing in Azeroth, instances, and battlegrounds. But to experience questing and instances in Outland (not to mention making leveling faster), draenei / blood elves, jewelcrafting, or EoS battlegrounds, players will need to purchase the Burning Crusade. Same with inscription, death knights, Northrend content, and the new battlegrounds.
