It really needs an option to see/publish the guild raiding times, there are early raiding guilds, late night raiding guilds, and all sort of mid stuff that i don't see in there.Good idea, but it needs more work on it or it will be useless.
This would help my guild in recruiting more people instead of barking in stormwind :P
This is somewhat good for social and 500+ member guilds that invite random people. But for raiding and pvp guilds the officers that invite people usually need more information about the persons raid times , raiding experience , lag issues etc.Prediction: This will cause lots of QQ because of ninja inviters.Person A is looking for a hardcore raid/ pvp guild.Person B is GM of a social guild.Person B wants more people to gain guild exp. and give money through Cash Flow,Person B invites person A with promises of raiding and doesn't fulfill them.Person A goes into LFguild once again. Also people claiming to be pro and hardcore L33T raiders getting invited to actual hardcore raid/pvp guilds is unlikely due to the guilds needing more info than a comment and role. It's a promising start. Things I think it needs:
I also agree with the previous comments in regards to having specific date/times available. And/or a 'All Times/Days' check box for those who have open availability. I'm not sure what the functionality would be for the Guild itself to post what they're looking for, what their raid times are as well as any other general statements they want to make clear to the player via the LFGuild option. I think this is a nice tool... guilds who want more players can post it up... people interested and 'Request Membership' could then have the appropriate person from the guild conduct an interview similar to receiving an application through their respective forums. It's just another tool that can help without forcing a player to go to a forum, or 3rd party website.
Could work if they made more options and more flexibility.to this. Personally I would like this to work as an in-game application sign up(kinda like we got on my guild webpage, you fill in relevant info and send it to the guild). An option there you either broadcast all your info or you got it locked so you gotta apply to a guild, who also got a sort of application with guild goal and that it has accomplished(like pve, bosses killed/dungeon and short description of guild, the officer will edit it with info they thing is relevant for a new member to know).Different type of sheets for different type of guild/looking members(pve, pvp or/and rp).A good feature would be if the guild could look on your gear as a char sheet for the right specc, instead of a number(ilvl). Should not be impossible to implant.TL:DR: Got potential, but must be flexible and more options. Both search and apply to one guild functions. Guild get a info tab also. Guild can see directly gear and specc.
I like how everyone is screaming for more check boxes. Here's an idea... don't completely rely on the guild finder.Interview players before inviting them. Take them with you on a heroic run. Sit with them in vent to see if they're a good match with your other members. I see this as more of a tool to get your name out there. It's perfectly acceptable for them to implement an in-game system to find decent guilds. Key word is 'find', not 'immediately join and start raiding/pvping/rping'.:)
