Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and concerns about your experiences with our games. I appreciated the points you made, so I shared your letter with others on our teams here and included it as part of the ongoing discussions we’ve been having on the subject.
I want to start by saying that we’re grateful to have such a diverse and passionate player base, and we want everyone to feel welcome, safe, and included in our games and communities. We have made some mistakes in how we’ve communicated about this and how we’ve reflected it in other ways, but we are working to improve. As Dustin mentioned in his apology for the comments you called out, we take the topic of inclusiveness seriously, and we don’t want any of our players to feel we are being insensitive in how we portray our characters.
There have been times when we’ve been seen or painted as being uninterested in hearing feedback or making changes. I want to be clear that this goes against the philosophies and core values on which Blizzard has been built and continues to operate. We will always listen, and we will always work hard to make games that appeal to as many people as possible.
We are very conscious of the issues you raise and are discussing them more than ever, at every level of the company, in an effort to make sure our games and stories are as epic and inclusive as possible. Blizzard’s employees form a broad and diverse group that cares deeply about the experiences we are creating for our players. And we know that actions speak louder than words, so we are challenging ourselves to draw from more diverse voices within and outside of the company and create more diverse heroes and content. We are also actively looking at our story development and other processes to ensure that our values are fully represented. We’ve always believed that positive, lasting change comes from examination, discussion, and iteration, and this applies as much to story as to gameplay. There is no reason why inclusivity should come at the expense of an amazing game experience.
I speak for everyone at Blizzard when I say that we will always remain open to feedback and discussions to help us improve. This will be an ongoing process for us—it’s likely that we will make mistakes again in the future, but we will continue to listen, learn, and grow. We care very much about what you think and what you’re getting out of our games, and we’re committed to reflecting our core values in our words as well as our actions.
I just want to close by saying thank you again. It’s clear that you care very much about your experiences in the games you play and that you believe our games can again deliver experiences that you value. We recognize how fortunate we are to have players who believe in us.

In light of the
Garrison plot discussion on Twitter
which we covered yesterday, we've been updating our
now displays updated plot amounts, plot layouts, and new building artwork that we have been datamining each build. Since we first launched the Calculator in April, Horde and Alliance buildings have gotten distinctive artwork!
This is the plot layout for the most recent beta build:
Level 1: One
Level 2: Two
Level 3: Three
As usual, adding a building to the Garrison calculator will automatically list that building's level and benefits below. You can share your Garrison layout to your friends by simply copying and pasting the custom URL.
Level 2 Alliance Garrisons
On the WoD beta, the Level 2 Alliance Garrison was obtainable. We were able to take some pictures before the servers went down yesterday for maintenance. We've added Level 2 Horde Garrison Screenshots today, July 9th!
As your Garrison expands, your Garrison is now referred to as a "Fort" when you zone into it and the walls are much better fortified. Your Garrison has also expanded to cover more of the surrounding area, with a working
and plots for a
. The interior of your Garrison has been upgraded as well with a beer stand, additional tables, a large fountain, and sturdier buildings.
Currently on beta, your Garrison can be upgraded to Level 2 when the starter
were completed, but this is subject to change as its beta.
Completing the Horde Alchemy Lab was bugged for us yesterday so we couldn't reach level 2, but we did take a picture of a Garrison Monument for professions which you can see below. Fortunately the upgrade became available today, so we have images of a level 2 Garrison! You can also see the mines and the creatures within!
Currently on the beta, the
is the only building you can create besides the
, for testing purposes. You will need to be an Alchemist in order to see the initial
drop. For the Alliance, this is contained in
Once the building is created, you can begin Work Orders as well as purchase Draenor Alchemy recipes from a vendor inside the building.

Still can't figure out why they don't make Valorous and Prince's Gaze permanent account-wide for those of us that have completed the entire legendary chain on our mains. Grinding thru it on alts is crazy mind numbing!
I so agree. I am at varying degrees on my alts and I just don't have the motivation to finish them. I did it once and the next closest one I have to finish is at the pvp part. I really don't want to go thru that frustration again. LFR has become a joke with a bunch of people yelling at each other. Many toons in greens due to the free character bump. At least with my toons they are all in 496 or above gear
Personally I have nothing against small plot downsizing since when choosing 4-th my only criteria was "does it look cool". However going to 2 on medium and large kinda contradicts "Pretty large, but not large enough to have everything" now it looks more like "you can have few and regret cutting back on others". Just like with capitol changes this is a bad one.
Would be ok if we could somehow through game-play acquire those 2 "lost" plots
Maybe they are planning on allowing extra plots thru the Blizzard store. It wouldn't surprise me. I wouldn't buy it but I bet some would. In fact that might even make me not want to play anymore
Hmmm, mantisweave, cloth set, looks a little inappropriate on the updated, WoD, female dwarf...
