I like this brawl, it rewards skill and judgement in what to bring out (as KT) or get rid of (as RF). There is a lot of RNG, but you can influence how the RNG goes, and if you control it you win, simple as that.
Just won a match as KT where the Rafaam had gotten a turn 5 staff and gave me a dreadsteed with najzatar, which became another, and another til I had 5 on the board and my hero power was useless. Those things are super bloody annoying xD.
Most useless, most unbalanced and most disappointing brawl of all time!
By the way, since Rafaam has , does he give every possible spell?
What is the "wish" that Zinaar grants at the end of your turn? What does it do?
Rafaam sucks so hard lol, is this some kind of joke?
I found two "issues" as each character. As Kel your opponent shouldn't be able to pull and use the Kel leg. There should be something like in the adventure that auto destroys it. From an immersion vantage it makes no sense. As Raf if you pull Rend his battle cry only works on legs that we can own such Feug but against such as Saph it claims it isn't a leg.
The good thing about Rafaam being so difficult to win with is that it feels really good when you finally manage it! I have yet to lose as KT but just now was the first win I've had with Rafaam where it wasn't down to my opponent throwing the game.Yay :D
It's official: this is the most lopsided brawl they've done, and it's not even close. Don't get me wrong, it's very enjoyable if you're Kel'Thuzad. If you're Rafaam, it will end with you feeling violated and in need of ice cream and a hug.I'm 5-0 as Kel, 0-5 as Rafaam, and if I may use the phrase "not even close" again, every match has been decided by at least 30 points. And with no choice in the decks, I have to assume others' results have been similar.
This is not ranked play, it's a Tavern Brawl. "It's just for fun!" as they're so fond of saying. You shouldn't be required to research it on HH, or lose 20+ times trying to figure out "the catch", just to have any chance at all of winning with a given side. Quite literally the opposite of fun.
Rafaam can win pretty well, and actually has a much better late then Kel. But Kel has a absolutely Curbstomping mid game, with neither really having any good early. Yes Kel can play creeper and stuff but you don't WANT to. As it %^&*s your hero power.I went 7-0 with Kel and 2-13 (damn my luck) with Rafaam. The two times I won with Raf I removed all the big major threats with Naz / Entomb / Turn into a snake (the big threats being Heigan and Gothik, Feugan or Stalag, and Grand Widow). Anything that summons was left alive to clutter Kel's board / hero power / removed on follow up with a spell of some discription. Noth is bad but easily dealt with if you make sure to hold onto a removal for him. Do not play a staff piece if he has a secret out. After that spam that Legendary hero power and prey. Kel just has to not play anything that would jack up his Hero Power (no Gluths, Abuns, or Creepers) so his hero power stays mega value. Then you have to make sure Raf can't remove a lot of your threats (aka, don't dump Heigan, Gothik, and Widow all at once and watch them all get Naz'jired). Try to get high Value ones killed so you can start spamming them. And this goes for both, remeber you have 60 health, you can choose to not play anything to set up a even nastier value bomb move (on both my turns before I Naz'jired them I just staffed and Hero powered, caused them to dump a lot of power house stuff down and then SMACK). Or in the Case of Kel, not play anything and just summon more of that sweet sweet boss that you killed with your hero power.
lol most others lose as Rafaam because it is harder to play than KT. I have won 3/4 the games as Rafaam. The key is to control his hero power and secrets, so that he gets weaker minions so often. Keeping track of the secrets is essential. Also note that he only has 2 removal spells, while Rafaam has multiple - SW: Pain and Death, Darkbomb, forgotten torch, flamestrike, lothar's left greave, and another AOE spell. Lady Naz'jar can be used to transform Gothik and stallag/feugen, along with any other pesky minions. In fact, I would go as far as saying that the two heroes are equal in power!
