The only issue with a female demon hunter is that it breaks the coherency of all female night elves having Shadowmeld in WC3 while male night elves don't - and presumably they're not going to give Shadowmeld to the female Demon Hunter. But that's a tiny issue. The concept art looks great, I'm sure it'll look awesome in game too.
"Drorith said:This is unnecessary, There is no need to attack Goldens work publicly."It's not an attack, it's a review. Never attacked her personally, just her ability to put together a good story. Nor was I the only one to say so in these comments.
The changes sound great! No one likes Warcraft hipsters, guys. Enough. Play it or don't play it.
Agree with Darkelemental, we paid for her work, i bought books she wrote, lately it was Before the Storm, and i really feel like she's... Ok, but nothing more as a writer, which doesn't give me a good opinion of what she can do for the lore as a whole, and seeing how i have a bad opinion about BfA lore so far i think it's legitimate to be able to say what we think of her work.Is this an attack ? No, i have no clue how she is personnality and i don't care about it in all honesty. I'm just not sure i want to trust her with a beloved game i was happy to see getting updated.
While I'm glad they're updating WC III with canon info, I'm skeptical about involving Christie Golden in it.
I've got a feeling that after this expansion next WoD will be coming guys, sorry.
so the story of wc3 is changing?
I’m genuinely curious what people don’t like about Christie Golden’s writing. Since she’s joined the team, I’ve seen a lot of negative opinions of her (unfairly) and her work, but I’ve never seen an explanation. I’ve read or listened to most of her books, and while none of them have blown me away, I also don’t think they were terrible or hurt the broader story. More importantly, the story crafted by Golden and the other writers for BfA has been some of the most cohesive and engaging plot lines ever in WoW.
"The team is adding a few key lines of dialogue here and there for major characters to provide more context and story cohesion."Quoting this line as a reminder to those losing it - no one has said they're changing the story, they're just making it flow better.
would love to see female keeper of the grove, female druid and male priest of the moonas well as female queen of the mountain, female crypt lord, female lich and of course male naga sea warlock
They are tweaking certain things so WC3 can be more cohesive with WoW. I am personally excited, and it gets very tiring when people just blame Golden for every damn thing they don't like. It's still going to be pretty much the SAME DAMN STORY WITH TWEAKS. Golden is not the only writer so please get off your high horses people.
