My guess this was do to the animation on the long coat looking very weird when moving and constantly tearing/clipping through the model
- The removal of the anchor was a good move, in my opinion. It was a bit busy, and without it the coat will work in more transmog designs.- The non-muted colors were better. The more vibrant blue with the muted gold might work too, but the primary color at the very least should stand out. I've seen versions of the coat in green, brown, red, and black, too. I would love for one or two of those colors added as additional options for Kul Tirans.- The shorter coat length looks fine on the women, but on the men? Nooooooo. Now it looks like the chest and legs any leather-wearing character can get from... dungeons? Leveling? (I don't remember where it's from exactly.) The Kul Tiran coat needs to be unique. The short version does not look unique. Conclusion: old coat is definitely better. Combining some elements from the new version with the longer coat would be the best of both worlds, but it has to be the longer coat!
I wish they would apply this less-is-more approach to other armour sets. Most of them look like they're trying to squeeze too much detail into too little space.
I like the old version better! Don't fix it if it isn't broke!
one of the best set's i've seen...
Well overall the old ones look much better...actually they would have clipped for sure. But who cares? In WoW there is not a race that has no clipping. To be fair I am not so much a fan of the female "version" at all. It just scales weird and that hat...clipping or not looks like its just slightly touching the hair. I guess its just about time that blizz starts to create hats that have the hair attached to it.Would it freak out people that they would have a forced hairstyle? I guess not as much as running around nearly bald all the time. They would have just to make it match the chars haircolor....this cannot be a big issue.Overall the male quite fits the armor better...but I guess it would look absolutely great on Stormwind Humans, Dwarfs and Worgen. But hey its the heritage of those naked pandaren. What I absolutely struggle to get behind is the color...the old was bright and somewhat allianc-y....the new is dull and boring and still its not matchig with kultiras colors at ALL. You know we got this epic horse from the digital delux edition and sofar theres only one armor matching it. The normal-mode BFA dungeon set of kultiran dungeons. IT IS BEYOND ME, why they did not use that palette...but hey at least the raptor fits the zandalari...no bias and such.Besides I dont know if color blindness is ok to be called a bias...but it still feels alot like it.
First... they complete destroy the coat cuffs. Now they destroy the coat itself. I get it why they change the color and anchor... but the size? That’s just what any leather user can get running dungeons right now.
Blizz saving the fancier design for later as a drop. You know, because they’re lazy.
Maybe the split back makes it easier to animate and look good, or maybe they just wanted something different than a giant golden anchor inexplicably on the part of a coat that gets dirty. But I like the changes.
The noisy minority cried for the golden anchor to be removed, now it is removed. But they are still not happy. Kids logic vs blizz trying to satisfy them Ep.2.
LONGER COATSLIGHTLY DARKER COLOURSTHANKS
I've seen nicer levelling gear
I like the more muted colors, removal of the anchor and hair finally showing up under the hat!
No sir...I don't like it. Give me longer coats..not this! Kul'tirans and their anchors are like Horde and their spikes.
The best allied races armor, end of topic.
I'm good with removing the anchor design but shortening the coat, no not happy at all.
