Just cleared the hard mode for the first time. Was a good challenge, even for an "overgeared" group (I think we were all ilvl 420+).For the King Mechagon fight, we had our single ranged dps (ele Shaman) and healer (myself, resto Druid) stand next to two of the input buttons each. We designated them 1 through 4 and both watched for the input order to appear. Communicating the order on voice chat, we were always able to hit all four buttons between the two of us before time ran out. This method was advantageous because:1) Our two melee dps could stay on the boss for the entire fight, and 2) Only two people need to really understand how to work the buttons, and it prevents confusion on the coms from too many people talking at once. But again, this was likely possible for our group because we outgeared the encounter a bit. I'm ilvl 433 myself, so it wasn't too hard for me to heal and focus on button pushing. For healers struggling with phase one, I'd suggest assigning a second dps for buttons until phase 2 starts (or one person to each button, as suggested by the guide.)Make sure not to push the boss into phase 2 until you've just done the inputs, or you'll likely be stunned when you need to hit the buttons and its game over - learned that one the hard way. In phase two, in case there is an unfortunate overlap of Button-pressing with Giga-Zap, it might be best for the tank and any dps not helping with buttons to run Giga-Zap to Mechagon's flanks, so that the lasers don't shoot across the room through the button input area.
For anyone doing this again,K.U.-J.0's Robo Waste apparently has another function in the Hardmode fight; you can throw the Robo Waste every 12 seconds to reset the Noxious Stench stacks (which is the intended way to actually do it) per July 31th 2019 hotfixes. :)

It's not that hard if people are on point with interrupts/mechanics/crowd control. If you have a druid, they can mass entangle the adds, and then you just pull the boss away from them until they self destruct. On King Mechagon, the biggest obstacle is people being distracted by other mechanics and failing to see the full sequence. It's something you improve at with practice.
Is the mount tradable to another person in the party or do you just have a 20% chance of getting it each time, even if you have it already?
Did a hard mode run with some friends and the mount didn't drop. Submitted a ticket and got this answer:"The mount and extra Azerite piece that drop are considered bonus loot and in order to be eligible for said loot you must not have already defeated King Mechagon on Normal during the weekly reset. Since Normal and Hard Mode share a lockout, doing so will loot lock your character. The drop chance for the mount is also special since it has a 20% drop chance multiplied by the number of players who are eligible for loot. If all five players in the party are eligible for loot, one mount is 100% guaranteed to drop for a player who hasn't yet earned it.In this case the other 3 members of the party were loot locked/saved therefore only 1 eligible party member (yourself) had a %20 chance at the mount and unfortunately the odds were not in your favor ;/"TLDR: Lock outs and number of players matters
You forgot to include one crucial detail - do you enter the dungeon in Heroic, Mythic, or Mythic+?
Does anyone know if the droprate is being lowered in the prepatch, or the actual shadowlands expansion launch?
Bugged in EU.
I just tried to do this solo, but it seems impossible to get the aerial unit to go haywire in 55 seconds on your own. I used a brewmaster with 2x chi torpedo and 1x tigers lust to get to the towers as fast as possible and couldn't get the mana lower than 30 before getting instantly killed.EDIT: It's possible to solo, how to do it:As soon as the aerial unit starts charging up the beam, DO NOT run for the pylons to hack them, instead run towards the start of the dungeon where you will be out of range to die. When the blast goes off run back and hack the tower
