Mechagnomes might get more interest if they allowed them to be druids with mechanical animal forms... haha ;P
I've always been excited for vulpera but I'm recently getting super excited for mechagnomes, too! They have such a meaningful history and compelling story - descendants of gnomeregon gnomes, who are descendants of northrend/mimiron titan gnomes who got cursed from heading to ulduman. the mechagon gnomes sought to revert to their ancestors state but without being able to reverse the curse of flesh, attempt to perfect themselves and resume their operations/programming like their ancient kin by methods available to them which is technology. instead of becoming completely mechanical which would lose benefits the curse did not expect; heroism, creativity, honor, etc, they decide to replace unneeded parts such as those that; age, decay, don't provide optimal benefits, and keep the rest, seeking a balance between live and technology. I just think it's such an interesting story and they are an intriguing people. It will be interesting to get titan-made mechagnomes' opinion or even asistance throughout the mechagon mechagnome's story and lore. Seems easy for those who are not interested in gnomes or mechagnomes to say so, but when you think about how the lore from titan structures such as mimiron, the origin of the northrend mechagnomes, the curse of flesh and travels/exploration of the mechagnomes becoming 'regular' or fleshy versions we have in the alliance today, and their descendants/long lost cousins the mechagon gnomes who attempt to revert to their original state under a different method they had available then stopping at a balance, it's all so cool and interesting to think about. I love thinking about the various races of warcraft and their origins and think blizzard did a good job creating a playable robotic race that fits meaningfully into the story and among the races, a well-told intro to a race that includes lore. I love how we can trace races backwards to their origins and also sideways along various paths that find them altered such as cursed, corrupted, re-origined, evolved/de-evolved, magic infused/enhanced/altered, or created by other races (saurok).I am excited for vulpera but I felt like I should stand up for the mechagnomes because I've learned they truly do come from a place of meaning, purpose and have a true place in the game and with the lore. It's too easy for people to dis mechagnomes (just don't play them, why speak evil?) and those who have nothing nice to say about them or the people who are excited to play them, also don't consider the well-constructed (pardon the pun) story that comes with them. Just remind people of their origin and that through them we'll probably get to explore and experience stories involving the history of the planet, the origin of races and the place and purpose of titanmade (mimiron) mechagnomes. While I love northrend and original mechagnomes and would have loved them as playable, perhaps the mechagon mechagnomes are a more interesting people from a player's point of view as with them being between cursed flesh and ancestral, through their own methods, we'll get to further explore the lore and have us gain some more hints and insight into the origin of the planet and original mechagnomes' role, meaning, opinions about things, etc. maybe playable mechagnomes will allow players to visit / seek the guidance of real mechangonmes one day? Maybe welcome a few of them around who could help the playable mechagnomes with their conversion/reversions? The titanmade mechagnomes might not see eye-to-eye with the methods being implemented, but it would be cool to see their opinion on the situation, and maybe lend, or refuse to lend their assistance. In any case, blizzard included them in away that should allow them to be able to tell stories involving the titans and planet - really cool! I do think the mechagnomes should have (along with all races) their own spell and ability visuals, animations and sound effects, you know culture identity and race-specific visuals. shooting their version of spells from guns and robotic parts, etc. Vulpera are establishing their lore as well of course and we're still getting to know them (probably descendant of a wild god or someone in the emerald dream or possibly they are from elune / k'aresh ((vulpine familiar)). I know this was long and don't think anyone reads all of it but if you do please know I appreciate it! And stick up for the little guy! They're part(s) of this world!
I can't wait until Shadowlands just so people will stop talking about vulpera. An utter waste of an Allied Race slot that only won out because "omg cute". The entire race didn't exist before BFA. Not even hinted at or in any Easter Eggs-- zero indication they existed. And we still don't know where they're from or why they exist, because their entire culture is "we walk around the desert with our wagons".How thrilling.

By the way, Vulpera have been in the game since MoP, they were a small faction that you could quest for
