A good change.Personally i would have just limited the amount of times you can use your big cds like heroism on one specific level. So the problem that players would just wait for cds would have been solved without any timer-element at all.

This is not better. It is just a new timer, but now it is an incentivized timer. So the hopes of having a dungeon crawl feel to Torgast are gone. This is 100X worse! The torment change is better though.
To all the people saying they are listening, yes, but also no. All they have done is make some of the scaling of the mobs (this was happening anyway behind the scenes) visible as part of these ‘torments’ which are now more pointless and mean even less than before. It’s incredibly lazy in my opinion. All we have now is a watered down m+ system (there will be addons to show the timer if it isn’t in the default ui you can bet) and that is exactly what they said it wouldn’t be. The whole thing is a complete waste of development time and they just need to give up and accept that, instead of continuing to try and force players to play the way they want them to. I would much rather they spend their time and resources on improving the whole experience and just accept that some players will spend hours in there grinding and some won’t. As long as it’s capped and the rewards aren’t too time consuming to obtain then that’s fine and anyone else who wants to go further can do whatever they like. Look to other rogue likes and see what works, don’t try to reinvent the wheel and do it badly.
to the people complaining. maybe its not a wow thing, its a you thing. everything cant be the way you want it to be, learn to give and take.
Why not just let players play they way they want, instead of controlling how they play.The bonus will always be necessary to players. Like do you even play this game man?

I just hope this reward of doing in time isn't a big deal. If it's something like receive an extra item, like a M+ in time, and you're limited to do X Torghast runs per week, could be a big deal.Well, it's way better than the ''soft timer'' , forcing people to do a single playstyle every run. Hope they realize that fun is more important than anything in a game.
Let's ALL REMEMEBER that rewards are going to be capped for Legendary resources and the like. So there really isn't a punishment for slower play.
Some good changes, but they definitely need to ditch the spawning torments. It's such a pain doing a Torghast run, and being unable to leave your PC for even 30 seconds to bio, because you'll be attacked by enemies that weren't there when you left.
This is a much more sensible mechanic for a roguelike/lite. Still, i hope they removed the spawning ones since they make AFKing for any reason impossible.
I swear, they take away one thing, add another minor thing that will allow players to have full CD's. Then people still complain about it because of the incentive to actually go fast for better rewards. Along with it being similar to M+ in a sense, yet that still warrants people complaining about it. They removed the timer, something that I agree they shouldn't have added seeing as they originally did say it wouldn't be timed. Yet it's your own choice wether you want to go fast or not for better rewards. Like heck you can speed a few floors, then go slow for the later ones and keep pushing. Nothing is stopping you honestly except for what you want out of the run. Please stop complaining about every single tiny detail that will be irrelevant in the end. Heck it would nice if after a certain floor it gave cosmetics and mount reward sis that everyone can have their way with getting all the material loot from the tower. It's nice their listening to us, yet I think it's spiraling out of control. I feel like some are wanting to take a lot of challenge out of the game to make gaining rewards easier than it already is. When the point is that you work for them, with more effort being put in being more rewarding.
I'll use only one word... YES !and for those complaining : these changes really come from players feedback, these kind of incentives are only here to reward those that do not fullclear so that they are not too impacted by doing so. Remember, to each one their play style.
