This is neat. Thinking I'm gonna go kyrian or Necro. So far looks like I'm going shadow priest or hunter.
Something that I think this article should have brought up but is how Stampede makes no attempt at trying to explain how it works, (added later) like how are you supposed to have an idea of how good it is if it doens't even have a number on it)?

What is up with the focus cost nerf to hunters? Did Blizz thought hunters had too much focus in BfA? It's all thanks to Lucid Dream and Azerite Traits, not inherent from hunters themselves. Surv Hunters can't even perform raptor/mongoose properly, MM Hunters are suffering from drought during their big CD, and now BM Hunters with increased focus for Cobra Shot, destabilizing their core rotation.Did Blizz test this thing out? If so, I would like to see their test conditions (i.e. haste %, crit %, and so forth).
The revive pet issue is a very big non-issue. Like, you won't have your pet die under normal circumstances when questing unless you actively pick the incorrect (Cunning) family pets or pull way more than you can actually handle, and I've not seen my pet die in Mythic+ or raiding unless my pet somehow gets aggro (aka; tank died and somehow my pet is doing more dps than other players). Additionally, I feel like we get too many extra buttons now. There were plenty enough in Beta for Azeroth, but it feels like they're just trying to bloat the bars now. I mean, it's nice that we have Steady Shot because it sucks having to wait for focus/barbed shot charges just to attack, and it's absolutely top-tier awesome that Eyes of the Beast is back (What took so long?), but I like having bars not be filled entirely. All of the actually useful buttons being added takes a good third of the bar from the sounds of it.Also, I hope they fix the Night Fae ability. It sounds like the best one, but for it to not even work for BM hunters is just unfair. Don't let this go unfixed.
Slightly unrelated, but from a M+ perspective, why does BM pretty much have nothing to worry about except boss mechanics (and even many of those can be negated by FD). Take large trash pulls in high M+, for example. Moving out of incoming ground telegraphed spells doesn't hurt their dps. They never have to be in melee range, thus avoiding any cleave/frontal cone abilities from mobs in the hectic movement, and they never have to worry about ripping aggro and getting 1 shot. Why does this class have no weakness? It should be the weaker of the 2 specs, something more friendly for new players or casual players, whereas MM/Surv should have the more complicated rotations and rewards.
Thank you for adding link to the other "classes feedback" at the end ;)
Had decided after seeing the new Kyrian mail set to go them on my hunter. Glad to see the Kyrian hunter ability is pretty good!
The Revive Pet change is only severely bad for PVP. Hunters are already at a pretty high disadvantage in arena, so now taking out the pet is basically a free win for the other team, whereas before you could quickly get it back up if you watched the kicks or turtle res. Now you are down to one turtle res and then they can just focus it down again and keep you basically out of the match for good. If your pet dies in solo content, you just feign death and reset. If your pet dies in a dungeon or raid, you've done something severely stupid and wrong as he shouldn't really be getting targetted.
From my point of view Beast Mastery looks as if Blizzard didn't think the rotation through at all:Arcane Shot is extremely pointless and unnecessary to the spec and serves no purpose at all, other than what feels like that they wanted to add the ability to unprune their ability pruning a few expansions ago to make the spec feel more "complete"- quite the opposite in fact.Revive Pet's 4 second cast time is not such a massive downgrade, except for in PvP environments. I have played WoW since 2006 and mained a hunter ever since and I never encountered these "situations" the author of this article described. Pets in PvE are practically unkillable by AoE spells and abilities due to their 99% Avoidance stat and for obvious reasons never gets targeted by debuffs in raids or they might wipe the group, the only situation they might die is when they get single target damage done to them due to lack of tank aggro. The little damage they might take is easily healable by Mend Pet. The 4 second cast time is primarily an issue in PvP which is the only thing I agreed with in this article, is that when the pet is dead you are extremely vulnerable and can't do anything if you can't time Aspect of the Turtle with Revive Pet.
I'm kind of surprised there is no mention of mandatory pets, even if I accept that most hunters did not see it as BFA's main issue for hunters. There is a fair amount of complaint on twitter and was discussed with Muffinus (https://twitter.com/Muffinus/status/1287232588109606912 and https://twitter.com/Muffinus/status/1287236852471099392).In short, even if we have many new pets, only 4-8 will be useful at all (ex: mechanical, being a PvP pet with a defensive, is useless).I do miss the times I'd maul a Titan with a rabid turtle or vicious squirrel.
good cover, hope they fix the cobra/arcane issue and and revive pet
