imo they should make an upgrade item for rankup that costs 100 or 125 ash so you can still get use out of the early ranksand in case of one legendary getting nerfed at the moment you get it after farming for 4 weeks you can atleast make a rank 1 the week after to use that and not having to wait another 4 weeks to be usefull in a group
Hope it'll just be an upgrade system. Having to decide between different ilvls would just be annoying and unnecessary.
So "obviously" you will craft the #1 legendary for your class on the first week, then save up the next 4 weeks to make a max ilvl version of it.That's if there is a clear #1 legendary for your class/spec.
SL will be more grindy then BFA. Enjoy wasting your time, cause I will.
What a sad sad sad joke.
Am I understanding this correctly? In order to craft a higher ilevel legendary you have to completely re-farm the materials and scrap your old version (if any?).Where are the options to upgrade lower ilevel legendaries? Integrate crafting if that's the point but this seems like a serious gap in design.
grind, grind and more, u know, grind.
most legendary effects dont really blow me away because theyre reused but weaker legion or set bonus stuff but are these crafted legendaries at least an ilvl and therefore statboost like in legion?
why don't just make it so rank 2, 3 and 4 require previous ranks so you don't feel forced to craft legendaries for mythic raiding then have to craft them again when progress ends smh
Soul Ash, at least to me, isn't showing as BoP in tooltip. Is this intended? IF so, then you could run Torghast on more toons on same week and craft the max ilvl legendary faster too. Do it 4 times on 4 enchanters and git gud.
But how do we get the base items? What profession levels do we need? Can they be crafted on alts? Do my alts need to be finish torghast to learn the ability to craft the base item? Ion mentioned recipes being account bound. Does that mean I can find a tailoring recipe on my blacksmith and my level 50 tailoring alt can craft the base item?I have so many questions that this article does not clear up.
This would be really cool, even if there's no way to upgrade lower-iLvl ones after you've crafted them. It's a decision the player will need to make - do I want a low iLvl one early because I need it ASAP (for progression or whatever), or do I wait extra weeks and have one that will last until the end of the patch? Some people will pick 4 low-iLvl Legendaries and be more versatile because of it, while other players will save up and have a single great one. That's a really good decision, well done Blizzard. But all of this is pretty much undone by them being tradeable and sellable.
Rank 1 is shown at ilvl 190 in the screenshots, not 195 like the article states in a few places.
Pretty sure I read that when you do the Torgast intro quest you get enough soul ash that you could make your 1st legendary by the end of week 2. After that its 100 per week. But, this is beta so anything could change...
rank 2 and 3 seem redundant if current theories are holding.
So 4 weeks until you pick a legendary, hopefully by then the theorycrafting and initial nerfs are done.
