I THOUGHT I'd already commented this, but as it turns out, I never noticed the captcha.....Anyways, on to my point. The thing is, the Forsaken were previously, so long as they were loyal up to that point, actually flat-out allowed to just leave, if they asked. To an extent, this is shown in-action with, for instance, Lilian Voss' introductory story. Some Forsaken so much as entertaining the IDEA of exercising what up to this point was their right to do does not a coup make. Neither does expressing intent to shelter someone who had, again, ENTERTAINED THE IDEA of cashing in on a right that the Forsaken up to this point believed they had, and in several instances, HAD exercised, before, least of all in what was 100% intended to be a neutral, peaceful meeting.Furthermore, the single highest-held ideal of the Forsaken as a people are the free will that had been violently ripped from them by the Lich King. At least in part this is WHY they were free to leave, and in fact why most opted to stay. Likely, this is in part why Sylvanas not only killed those who had shown even cursory interest in leaving the Forsaken, but the others present, as well. Hell, they take it so seriously that one of the few crimes that has warranted "true death" as a punishment was turning Forsaken into mindless, servile freaks. Many of the Forsaken in the lore -- ESPECIALLY the few surviving "first-generation" Forsaken -- would view this event as an abject and objective betrayal of quite literally their highest ideal -- of their very essence -- by their idol. Of course, many others, as seen at the end of the war campaign...... Still hold her in high regards.
Maybe Sylvanas forsaken wouldn't defect if she wasn't a tyranical leader far too quickly ready to put arrows in them to begin with ? I do think Calia is a bit a contrived storyline but sheesh, a lot of people should drop their bias a little. Especially the ones trying to put the Arathi cluster#$%^ as a "coup" of Calia xD Sylvanas is the only one to blame. She shot defensless civilians just because they wouldn't agree with her world views, and she felt threatened in her power position. When you start acting out of fear of losing your power to someone else, to the detriment of your own subject, and shoot them rather than adressing the problem, well... You are the problem.
blizzard: how many NPCs need to talk about how much sylvanas sucks in order for you to stop loving her? me: ALL OF THEM
NOW can people give it a rest with the whole reee'ing about Calia being the new leader? Everything since Sylvanas ditched the Horde has pointed to Lillian stepping up to the plate until someone better-suited for the job comes along, with Calia more focused on social/spiritual pursuits and acting as Lillian's second and advisor on the Council. She's had no intention of taking the throne for herself, never mind that the Forsaken would have a conniption fit if they were expected to bow down before a Menethil again.(edited for clarity)
Calia could tell how unhappy the Forsaken were in Arathi. She led with her heart, offering them refuge with their living families. Sylvanas saw this and murdered them all, including Calia. Why? Cause she only promised not to kill Alliance. Calia Menethil wasn't part of the Alliance.Still isn't. Nor is she Horde. They're bringing her in as a neutral character just like Valeera. I think we need more stuff like that. I hope to see more of this, helping Forsaken connect with their living relatives and vice versa. Arathi part two won't end the hostilities built between Horde and Alliance, but it could go a long way to bringing peace to a troubled people.<3
I said Romance and/or sex not both at once and it's clear you didn't read my comment on the issue.
It still doesnt make any sense. I hate this light undead stuff. The light can ressurect people, why is she undead? Necromantic magic can ressurect too, but you become undead, not fully alive, your blood is replaced with ichor. How on earth did the light make her undead instead of, youy know, alive. It's weird and dumb. I know, they are trying to do something with the forsaken lore, but they should have just made calia a normal undead not this rubbish. Does that mean we can have void undead? What about fel undead, or life undead, or arcane undead? The entire purpose of undeath was that it was a necromantic thing, not a light thing.
sigh.... every time we see Calia, just baffles me on what blizzard are doing with her and pushing her into things :/ calia anywhere near the horde council when she has ZERO experience, training, knowledge in regards to leadership... it's literally said that she was never taught or trained when she was in lordearon, so why are the horde leaders just ready to 1) trust her and have her at council meetings and 2) listen to her "advice" when she has nothing to offer? and calia knows NOTHING about the hordethen comes her lack of any knowledge or experience with the forsaken/undead as she literally is the anti-thesis to forsaken in EVERY way possible: how she was ressed (stupid light necromancy retcon that makes no sense and is just another danuser retcon of the existing lore to fit his team's garbage writing), her powers, her looks, no rotting body, never shamed or rejected, no pain, no effect on her soul and so on. She has nothing to connect her to the forsaken cept her name: a name that means nothing cause she ran away from her people when things got tough, and stayed hidden for years never helping her "people" and doing nothing at all. She's just a regular priest who got lucky a naaru revived herbut then blizzard expect us to just accept that only Calia is the one who can "guide and heal" the forsaken when alonsol foul exists -_- and how the heck did Calia "help" then undead kaldorei when she knows NOTHING about elune, night elves, and as I said above, undeath... like wat? blizzard doing the dumb "oh see how awesome this writer pet character is, don't ask how just accept it" -_-and for blizzard and the people who go on and on about "oh queen of lordearon": lordearon is long gone, the forsaken are forsaken not lordearons, menethil name is tainted so why would forsaken ever accept caliasigh... what a joke character blizzard wants to force on the forsaken players, one that is overwhelmingly hated especially cause it's a lightbulb being pushed into prominent forsaken role. Blizzard should have just made her a normal undead at the very least, and people would have been more open to her as a new forsaken character
Regardless of how any of us feel, it isn’t our story to tell. This was a cool interaction and I’ll appreciate the future holds moving forward .
"All the blame lies with Sylvanas Windrunner"umm what? what did you expect slyvanas to do, kick some dirt up and say awe shucks as you literally start stealing her people away from her?
Listening to Valeera makes me iwsh I could hear her voice more often. Riot please. Give Katarina some updated voice lines.
All the hordies getting mad over Calia is really funny to me, specially when they claim Blizzard is trying to make them the “Red alliance”. It seems like they have grow so accustomed to committing genocides that anything other than that is a direct threat to their faction. I like Calia, I think she’s trying to do her best and people just hop in a hate train for no absolute reason.
I still don't understand why Valeera is in Org when she should've been in SW protecting Anduin like she swore to do, she serves the Wrynn family so shouldn't she be located at the Keep?
Nice but why does Valeera sound weird? Does she have a new voice actor now or something...
