The 70-90 loop in enchanting seems like an oversight. I could see 5 free points, but 20 seems like a lot. Especially if there's different skill ceilings, what's the point in making someone sit around doing 4x the conversions that just cost a few seconds each.
Easier professions means prices on everything going down to the floor. Sadly inflation 101. At least with legion quest chains there was some sort of gate.
That is a lot of work for the garrison gold making. Especially to make a decent profit you need numerous toons. How has she not gone insane from doing 50 toons...
Yes the garrison article is good if you aren't doing other things with the alts. For me, I am running the mission table on 10 alts and this has allowed me to farm emissary boxes which are worth 3500-4500 gold for each one. Some days I can open multiple of these. For me this is a better use of time. It's time consuming at first but once its up and running you have plenty of resources for the mission quests because its cache gives you 500 and these are tradeable if you buy the item from the honorbound vendor. Now, its probably too late for anyone to do this in BFA but looking at shadowlands they have a new mission table as well and Im sure that will give out gold too
This seems to sort of fit here, so: on the beta and PTR, the gear you buy from the garrison War Mill/Bunker with iron horde scraps has had the vendor price removed. I doubt anyone was using them as a serious source of gold, but I had 20K plus scraps scattered across my alts, so buying Thunderlord Sabatons and vendoring them was a reasonable chunk of gold I would have missed out on come 9.0 (and I would have been stuck with worthless scraps, since I have all the 'mog). Thanks for the articles! A lot of it's beyond what I'm interested in doing myself, but they're always fascinating.
I have around 15 lvl 120 horde characters plus 7 on alliance side, still leveling my 16h horde (as Vulpera) and waiting for SL to level my Alliance Mechagnome (to experience firsthand the new leveling experience). I dunno if I'd go all the way to setup the Barn and the Tailor/Inscript/Alchemy buildings for gold making. I'm currently using the (lot of) spare time, to grab some followers on all of them (there's a guide to travel around draenor grabbing most of the quick and easy ones), Building a lvl 3 Barracks on all of them (so follower cap goes from 20 to 25), lvl 3 mines and at least lvl 2 herb garden. The Bark I chose to put it at least on my skinner + monk (monk tanks can put down agro statue around mob spawn areas and just hit with the toy+drop trap). On all toons I'd build lvl 1-3 trading post, and either barn/lumber mill/Tavern (this one only if on the trip gathering followers they didn't get any follower with the scavenger trait).Even with ~22-24 characters with garrison almost untouched after this, I'd just log on to each character and check, wherever they are, from the minimap's Garrison/Order Hall/War map icon) if they have any lucrative missions available to be done (such as the Medallion or Ogre cache ones. You'll spend a lot of time setting up the basic on each new Garrison, but it is a one time investment that, in the end, very little time uses up for a large profit. WoW has many ways to make gold, for altoholics, Garrison still has ways for it hehe. For Medium Buildings, I'd start recommending the Tavern, as I said, so after you grabbed most followers, to get some more with Scavenger Trait. This will vastly increase your Resource income, and mostly triviallize the Lumber Mill, and even Trading Post (although I'd recommend keeping this on those characters with lots of scavenger follower, for resouce flipping). For large Buildings, alongside the Barracks (20 to 25 followers at lvl 3), you can put, at the beginning, the War Mill up to lvl 2, for mass follower equipment craft, then after you have all 25 followers set up you can swap it for the Spirit Lodge/MAge Tower at least lvl 1/2, and unlock quick teleports from your garrison to key areas. The Nagrand one is near Highmaul entrance, Gorgrond one between Blackrock Foundry raid and Everbloom DG, Tanaan one a very short flight from the HFC raid entrance, etc.EDIT: As you'll be very busy at the beginning of SL with your main, you can park all other toons at their garrisons (already with most follower grabbed) and start sending them on missions, gaining XP and equip with less effor this way, just quick log ins, grab resources, each week grabbing a follower with Scavenger or another trait you'd need, and hop back on your main to continue daily/weekly stuff on SL.
