I see that some peple are missing some key points here.Firstly, we are not complaining, because we can't be 'the first ones'. Even if, what's the problem? You pay for the game as anyone else, so you should be able to compete with everyone else equally, not 5 minutes, 2 hours or 12 hours later. Secondly, if blizzard cannot maintain high-pop server, lower the player cap and the problem will never occur again. It's that simple. You can't pour more into the cup than it can contain.Lastly, what if some pople got days-off and those hours jos go by? You wrote that you can go for a walk and do all sorts of stuff. What if people bought the game to freakin' play it while the gametime runs? What if people want to play when they want, not when the server is up? It's not F2P game. It should be up 99% of the time, where this 1% is for maintenance. I, personally, work as a developer and it's unacceptable to go below 95% of server uptime. We do everything to prevent such situations at peak times, we do stress tests etc. Blizzard does them too and what's the outcome? "Lul, it's down again. Let's just wait until people get pissed off, logout and it will naturally come back to normal". No. It doesn't matter if you are a small company or triple-A one. It's software that you pledge to provide working to the end user. What would you do if you had to listen to the shop assistant: "Sorry, but you can't buy anything today, because other people are doing it now. We'll take your money anyway so you can collect your groceries once you are eligible to do so".
