I'm seeing some people go on about blizz wanting more money or EU players sad they're not getting an extra sub option but Im gonna assume this is about Brexit, you know that thing where Britain said they'd leave the EU like what, 5 year ago now. well thats gonna happen on 31st of December this year whether any sort of deal between Britain and the EU is made or not. I dont see it being that much of a cash grab cos the 2 month game time is the exact same as 2x 1 month game times(it might mess up some players flexability on how they play) but instead in preperation of a major change that will take place for Britain starting the 1st of January 2021. again this brexit thing has been going on and on for like 5 yearish now but its gonna be a big change for Britain.
Technically, we left at the beginning of the year, with an extension of one year to the existing trading arrangements. It is increasingly likely that the UK Government will go for "no deal" (despite promising not to) and it is that that will cause trading issues and further impact an already reeling UK Economy. Please be gentle with the 47% of us that saw this coming.
It is very entertaining to see a comment section full of people who don't know a damn thing or can't read. People just posting random thoughts about greed, brexit, subs, or expecting some sort of detailed explanation as if accountants are somehow held to the same standard as devs.Prices change, availability changes, that's it. No one will ever know why and none of you have the right to know anyways.
I'm doubting the brexit explanation, because the price is essentially the same, and nothing about brexit would make smaller transactions less profitable.
Removed
So, where I would normally pay for a 6 month sub, which I have done for a while now, which had some discount as I was paying for a 6 months advance sub, that has now been removed, so its now 2 monthly basic price. OK.Edit - ops Missread!"This does not impact players renewing their ongoing subscription however, which is still available in 1, 3, and 6 month intervals."So i still get the 6 month recuring with a bit of discount. Im good.

Can't buy gametime with balance anymore.... gametime is in euros while everything else is in pounds. Is this intentional ?
Blizzard: "We'll remove options and increase the price of two months so that people who buy gametime have to be subbed for two months at a minimum! Boy we're smart."Jokes on you Blizzard this makes me want to sub even less now.
Standard monthly recurring sub - £9.99Two-month non-recurring 'game time' - £19.98These are the same price, over all... the 2nd one just 'ties you to the game' for two months (oh, boo-hoo).
I don't know man, seem scummy to me, I was always using the 30 days option, it was very comfy
The only people this affects are those who buy game time with battle net balance added with gold ... and even then you can use the token to add 30 days directly (at least there's no indication that changed). As said before; if you buy with money: activate 1 month sub, cancel sub, done. Sure, might be more clicks, but hardly the end of the world.
I'm in U.S. and I used to buy 1 month Sub's and then just cancel it so it doesn't renew in 30 days, thus acquiring the 1 month price of $15 instead of say buying the 2 month price for $30, at a physical store, game card. This is back when buying the gametime was done at a store and you scratched the code and acquired said gametime or just had a sub. Blizz now, in U.S. anyways, has had the option to buy 1 month gametime without a sub for $15. Could they still just buy a 1 month sub for the 1 month price and just immediately cancel the renew?
They are not removing monthly subscriptions. "Please note that currently, the GBP options and pricing for the purchase of both WoW subscriptions and WoW Tokens will remain unaffected."
british people going to the maw for being british
