People really act like this isn't the same company that had an entire expansion where everyone just sorta forgot the genocide that had just happened because the person that started the genocide raised a weapon and yelled that they were free.I fully expect Sylv to be spared and for Blizz to think they have 900IQ because "SuBvErTeD ExPeCtAtIoNs"."You all thought Sylvanas was bad, but in reality, her genociding all those people lowered CO2 emissions and slowed down climate change on Azeroth!"
People end up regretting their actions all the time. When they get caught. Sylvanas has outlived any gameplay reason for her existence. The Horde has no need for her any longer. Stick an axe in her and call her done.
I see people keep misunderstanding the concept of redemption. It's not about being forgiven and going to the afterparty with the heroes, it's a personal realization that all of her awful actions weren't helping the universe become better. Realizing she dirtied her hands on the most horrible things thinking she was making the world a fairer place... only to realize she was being used. That's her arc for me. Noticing how her vision of the world was twisted, how she was being used over and over again by the Jailer (ever since her becoming a Banshee) and finally lashing back at him - or attempting to overrule him to do what she thought was the right thing and being our newest enemy (because she would still be wrong).
